GLENWOOD OPINION-TRIBUNE
DATED APRIL 25, 1963:

Mr. and Mrs. Everett Knop and Lena Garrett attended funeral services April 13 at Albia for Mrs. W. A. Gilmore, the former Gladys Garrett.

The deceased was born and raised in Glenwood and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Garrett. She was 61 years old.

Gladys Evelyn Garrett was born October 24, 1901 to George Henry Garrett and Martha Evelyn “Mattie” (Utterback) Garrett.

On April 12, 1922 she married William Austin “Jack” Gilmore Jr. Four children were born to this union.

Her husband, William Austin Gilmore was born March 27, 1899 to William Austin Gilmore Sr. and Isabelle McKinney. He died in January of 1975 in Spokane, Washington.
