DATED MONDAY, DECEMBER 19, 1938

Herbert E. Evans, 58, well known former Glenwood resident, who for the past several years has lived at Adair, Ia., died at 10:45 a.m. Friday in a Council Bluffs hospital after several days’ illness with an ear infection.

He was born in Ohio, Dec. 19, 1878.

He is survived by his widow, Nellie; three sons, Floyd and Dwayne of Council Bluffs and Glen Evans of Klamath Falls, Ore.; three daughters, Mrs. Viva Lee, Whittier, Calif., Mrs. Irolene Vokt, Adair and Mrs. Mae Krumm, Council Bluffs; two brothers, A. C. Evans of Glenwood and W. K. Evans, Adair; two sisters, Mrs. Everett Haines, Spencer, Ia., and Mrs. Oliver Dwyer, Valley Junction, N. D. and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in Adair, Tuesday morning at 10:00 o’clock with services at the grave in Glenwood cemetery at 2:00 o’clock.
