Services were Tuesday at Peterson Mortuary for Florence Durkee, 84, of Glenwood who died Saturday at Glen Haven. The Rev. Ernie Nielson officiated,with burial at Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the nursing home or to the Missionary Church in Pacific Junction.

She was born in the Pacific Junction area and was an ordained Wesleyan Methodist minister. Her husband, the Rev. George Durkee, died in 1985.

Survivors include two sons, Melvin of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and George of Austin, Tex.; four daughters, Wanda Swisher of Virginia Beach, Va., Elta Sandell of Dallas, Dorothy Sahlstein of Bellevue, Neb., and Doris Aughe of Council Bluffs; a brother, Charles Smelser of Council Bluffs; 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
