Services were Tuesday in Glenwood for Harold Eugene Burson, 76, of Glenwood. He died Saturday at a Council Bluffs hospital.

Burson ws born on Nov. 4, 1905 at Thurman, the son of T. C. and Lola Hicks Burson. He grew up in Thurman and attended the Thurman Consolidated School, graduating with the class of 1924. He married Frances Belle James March 23, 1941. Burson was a carpenter and worked for the Larson Construction Company in Council Bluffs for many years before retiring in 1954.

Survivors include wife, Frances; three sisters, Dorothy Adams of Sidney; Mary Nestroyl of Omaha and Jane Lybarger of Council Bluffs; 10 nieces and nephews and many frieds. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Varabelle and brother Walter.

Services were at Raynor Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerold L. Irvin officiating. Music was provided by organist Ardis Dusenberry. Casket bearers were Randy Fichter, Quinsey Adams, Maurice Johnson, Paul Campbell, David Campbell and Allen Campbell.
