DATED JULY 16, 1914The body of Mrs. Phillip Rowe was buried at Glenwood last Tuesday, having been brought here from Scribner, Neb., where she died. She was past 90 years old, having been born April 24, 1824.
Mr. and Mrs. Rowe were early settlers near Glenwood and will be remembered by some who still live here. They lived for many years on what is now the Ferdinand Detlef farm near Balfour.
Mr. Rowe has been dead several years. They had no children, but adopted a son Harry and daughter Alice, and gave them their name.
Dr. Fred Long of the Congregational church conducted a brief ceremony at the grave.
