DATED WEDNESDAY, FEB. 20, 1985Services were Saturday in Glenwood for Lola Kruse, 73, of Glenwood. She died last Wednesday.
Mrs. Kruse was born on Dec. 4, 1911 in Silver City, the daughter of Kate and Hal Howser. She attended Silver City schools and graduated in 1929. She married Raymond F. Kruse on Feb. 18, 1933. They lived on a farm near Silver City until 1950 when they moved to Glenwood. Mrs. Kruse was employed in the school lunch program, assisted in several department stores and was a waitress for many years in Glenwood restaurants. She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Myron of Monet, Mo. and Russell of Yakima, Wash.; a sister, Adah Cross of Clarksville, Ind.; four grandchildren, Shauna Hamilton of New Port News, Va., Kevin Kruse of Seattle, Gail Kruse and Vicki Belt, both of Hastings; one great-grandson and a nephew. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Evelyn Louise.
Services were at Peterson Mortuary with the Rev. Doug Anderson officiating. Music was provided by Carol Patterson, organist, and Neil McPherron, soloist. Casket bearers were Scott Lauenroth, Erman Huffman, Jack Cowardin, Kenneth Cross, Harold Kruse and Dean Kruse. Honorary bearers were Alex Christiansen, Russell Hughes, Gregg Aistrope, Johnnie Helms, Paul Cheyney and Jim Stanley. Interment was at Silver City Cemetery.
