DATED MAY 12, 1993:

Dallas H. Mackey, 85, of Tabor died May 6, 1993, at Tabor Manor Care Center. Funeral services were Monday at the Crawford-Reeves-Marshall Funeral Home in Tabor. Interment was at Tabor Cemetery with Pastor Gary Hollers officiating.

Mr. Mackey was born June 24, 1907, near Tabor to John and Cora (Reafling) Mackey. He farmed in the Tabor area most of his life and also worked as a resident treatment worker at the Glenwood State Hospital School.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Fern Tackett Mackey; son Thomas; and one brother. Survivors are daughters, Bertha Kasten of Greenwood, Neb., Harriett W. Johnson of Omaha and Ruth Kratzer of Omaha; son, David Mackey and wife, Donna, of Emerson; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

Memorials are suggested to the Jennie Edmundson Hospital Cancer Center Fund in Council Bluffs.
