OPINION-TRIBUNE
DATED FEBRUARY 11, 1987:Charlotte S. (Aunt Lottie) Matteson, 81, of Pacific Junction, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1987 at a Council Bluffs hospital following a short period of failing health.
She was a lifetime resident of Mills County. Aunt Lottie worked as a riveter during the war at the Martin Bomber plant in Omaha. She also had worked as a restaurant waitress, and as a nurses aide at both the Glenwood State Hospital School and at Glen Haven Nursing Home.
She is survived by a nephew whom she raised, William Kite of Pacific Junction; six sisters, Bertha Brady of Sioux Center, Jessie Roberts of San Jose, Calif., Irene Butcher of Harlingen, Tex., Amelia Olson of Craig, Missouri, Lucille Harris and Darlene Barker of Glenwood; one brother, Abe Fisher of Glenwood; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Feb. 4 at Raynor Funeral Home in Glenwood.
The Rev. Evan Williams officiated with burial at the Martin Chapel Cemetery in Pacific Junction.
Pallbearers were Joe Fisher, Lee Fisher, Gene Anglen, Delbert Bowley, Don Evans and Don Harris.
