DATED APRIL 9, 1986:

Services were April 1 in Glenwood for Irvin J. Irick, 69, of Glenwood. He died March 29 at a Council Bluffs hospital.

Irick was born in Lebanon, Mo. on Jan. 5, 1917, the son of Omer and Fannie Thomas Irick. He married Thelma Elaine Davis on April 23, 1938 in Glenwood. He and his wife ran the Irick Grocery Store for many years, retiring about three years ago. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Glenwood.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma of Glenwood; a daughter, Barbara Chambers of Boulder, Colo.; a son, Wayne of Glenwood; one sister, Irene McCuan of Muskogee, Olka.; three brothers, Loren of Muskogee, Okla., Vernon of Omaha and John of San Francisco; and two grandchildren.

Services were (at) Peterson Mortuary with the Rev. Victor Englemann officiating. Music was provided by Ardis Dusenberry, organist, and the Rev. Laine Mathiason soloist. Casket bearers were Delbert Davis, Rod Meinders, Bob Collins, Roscoe Davis, Layne Parks and Bud Davis. Interment was at Glenwood Cemetery.
