DATED APRIL 9, 1986:

Services were last Wednesday in Glenwood for Alice Margaret Julius Bomer, 77, of Glenwood. She died March 30 at Glen Haven Home.

Mrs. Bomer was born on April 4, 1908 in Burlington, the daughter of Louis and Nancy Bowman Julius. She attended school in Burlington and later worked in a telephone office. She joined the Christian Church in her teens, and married Elmer Bomer in April of 1928.

Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Dunkin of Clarinda; two sons, Stanley Bomer of Pacific Junction and Randall Bomer of Glenwood; two sisters, Bessie Beardsley of Carmen, Ill. and Peggy Graham of Burlington; one brother, Louis Julius of East Moline, Ill.; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Gerald.

Services were at Peterson Mortuary with the Rev. Evan Williams and Rev. J. J. Regier officiating. Music was provided by Ardis Dusenberry, organist, and Mrs. Ronald Schneckloth, soloist. Casket bearers were Albert Thomas, Bob Anderson, Bill Reafleng, Eldon Evans, Merton Bach and Bob Hodgson. Interment was at Glenwood Cemetery.
