John A. Garrett was born about 1871 to Emanuel Garrett and Sara Ann (Griffin) Garrett.

John died on Feb. 7th, 1890 at the age of 19 years and three months. He was buried in the Tabor, Iowa Cemetery, Section 2, Row 21, same tombstone as his parents.

John Garrett, aged 19 years, son of old Mr. Garrett, died last week with the measles. The funeral occurred on Sunday.
