Glen Edward Seeger was born on March 31, 1891 in Mills County, Iowa. He was the son of Gustave Charles Seeger and Virginia Caroline (Estes) Seeger.

On July 2, 1911 Glen married Edith Beatrice Garrett, daughter of George Henry Garrett and Martha Evelyn (Utterback) Garret. She was born on April 8, 1895. Three children were born to this union: Gertrude, Howard and Lyle.

Rites for Glen Seeger
Held Jan. 15 in California

Glen E. Seeger of 2061 Ashton Ave., Menlo Park, Calif., a native of Iowa and a California resident since 1936, died Jan. 12 in Sequoia hospital, Redwood City, after a long illness. He was 71.

Mr. Seeger, who had lived in Menlo Park since 1943, worked as a mechanic for 13 years with the Johns-Manville Co. in Redwood City. When the firm transferred its operations to Long Beach he worked there for several months before retiring.

He is survived by his wife Edith; three children, Marie Knop of Malvern; Howard Seeger of San Jose and Lyle Seeger of Menlo Park; five grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers, including Paul Seeger of Malvern.

Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the chapel of Roller and Hapgood, Palo Alto. Burial was at Alta Mesa Memorial Park, Palo Alto, Calif.

Mr. and Mrs. Everett Knop went out to attend the services. Mr. Knop returned Monday night. Mrs. Knop will return in about two weeks.
