WED. NOVEMBER 20, 1996:

Gerald Bert Rager, Sr., 91, formerly of Glenwood, died Friday, November 5, 1996, at the home of his son, Terry Rager, in Omaha, Neb. Funeral services were Monday, November 18, 1996, at the Raynor-Hardiman Funeral Home. Burial was at the Glenwood Cemetery with Pastor Grant Wiley officiating.

Mr. Rager was born February 8, 1905, in Glenwood to Bert and Jennie (Campbell) Rager. He was married to Florence Pace on February 29, 1927, in Onawa. He owned and operated Rager’s Laundry and Dry Cleaners from 1946 to the 1970’s. Mr. Rager was a member of the First Christian Church in Glenwood.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Rager, two brothers, Robert and Everett Rager, and one sister, Vivian Powles. Survivors include one son, Terry Rager and his wife, Jackie, of Omaha; one brother, Max Rager of Blue Jay, Calif.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church in Glenwood.
