Goldie E. Storey, 80, 1430 Tenth Ave., died Thursday at a Glenwood care center, following a short illness.

Born at Pacific Junction, she had resided in Council Bluffs 58 years. She was the widow of John H. Storey who died July 27, 1960. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Edith Darnold of Council Bluffs; sister Mrs. Hazel Raymond of Pacific Junction; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Meyer Chapel. Floyd A. Vallier, an RLDS elder, will officiate. Interment will be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Monday at the Meyer Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Heart Fund.

Goldie Effie Hunter was born on April 4, 1897 at 5 a.m. in Lyons Township, Mills County, Iowa to Andrew Jackson Hunter and Effie Epperson Hunter. She was their fourth child.

In 1915 she married John H. Storey. Two children were born to this union: Franklin A. Storey and Edith A. Storey (Mrs. George E. "Ed" Darnold).
