Mrs. Joy C. (Anna) Mickelwait, 97, of Glenwood, died in St. Charles, Mo., November 1, 1986.

Services were Nov. 5 at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. The Rev. Victor Engelmann officiated
with burial at the Glenwood Cemetery.

She was born January 20, 1889, at Wolbach, Neb. In November of 1909, she married Joy C. Mickelwait and the couple had one child, Joyanna.

She spent much of her life in the Glenwood community and belonged to the P.E.O. sisterhood and is the last charter member of the Legion Auxiliary.

She was the Glenwood librarian for 37 years.

She enjoyed nature and was known for her gardening and the growing of beautiful flowers.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband in 1943, and a brother and sister.

Surviving are her daughter, Joyanna Darting of St. Charles, Mo.; two grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bob Buffington, Fay McManigal, Wayne Boles, Edward Hopp, Hugh Trask and John Dean.
