Funeral Services Held Friday for D. H. Davis

Funeral services were held in the Strahan Methodist church at 2:30 o’clock Friday afternoon for Daniel Hendrix Davis, 79, conducted by Reverend Bruce N. Eshelman , pastor of the church. Burial was made in the Hastings cemetery.

After the death of his wife in 1935 he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Ethie Hartley in Glenwood, where he passed away last Wednesday, July 9.

He is survived by five daughters and two sons, Mrs. Ethie Harley of Glenwood, Mrs. Bessie Retherford of Imogene, Mrs. Martha Switzer of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Edna Richie of Nodaway, Mrs. Clara Lemons of Sarageton, Wyoming, Hazard Davis of Powersville, Missouri, and William El. Davis of Malvern.
