S. E. Keesee Formerly of Silver City Dies

Word has been received of the death of Samuel Edward Keesee which occurred in Seattle, March 26th. Mr. Keesee who was 59 born June 19, 1891 at Albany, Missouri came with his family to Silver City in 1917 where they resided until 1939. He and Mrs. Keesee operated the local telephone exchange in Silver City, she taking over most of the work after failing health made it impossible to retain his active duties. Last fall the family went west in hopes of improving his health, but his condition grew steadily worse.

Funeral services were held in Kent, Washington, on March 29th. In addition to his wife, Olive, he is survived by three children, Mrs. Don Clay, [Adris] Truman and Thurl Keesee, all of Council Bluffs, as well as eight grandchildren, one sister and three brothers.

Mr. Keesee enjoyed the respect of all who knew him, because of the courageous manner in which he carried on during the long years of his declining health.
