Services for Murl Bird, who died Sunday at Hortons Rest Home, were held at Glenwood Wednesday afternoon with Rev. William Lee officiating . Interment was at East Liberty cemetery.

Murl, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Bird, was born in Malvern May 9, 1894 and died Oct. 6, 1957.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bird of Malvern, six children, three sisters and two brothers.

Murl C. Bird Sr. married Grace M. Morgan. Their six children are: Arthur Garriel Bird, Elvin Harrison Bird, Murl Bird Jr., Alice Hobbs, Orma Budd and Janice Holland.

His three sisters were: Vivian Thacker, Gladys Davis and Isabel Munsell. His two brothers were: Russell Bird and R. K. Bird.
