GLENWOOD OPINION -TRIBUNE
DATED APRIL 16, 1980:

Services were Saturday in Glenwood for Myrtle Slaughter, 91, of Glenwood, who died April 9 in Glenwood.

She was born April 2, 1889 in Turin, Ia. She married Arthur Merrill Slaughter on Nov. 6, 1907 in Glenwood.

Myrtle spent most of her years working at Wallings Ready to Wear store and the Glenwood State Hospital-School.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Glenwood since 1902.

Survivors include a son, Harold of Carson, Ia.; a daughter Louise Ranne of Glenwood; two brothers, Walter Killmon of Creston and Kenneth Killmon of Marshalltown; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and five great -great grandchildren.

The Revs. Wayne Sigler and Robert Luebbert conducted the services at the Raynor, Lett and Kent Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Administering the registry book was Mrs. Clifford Schoening.

Pallbearers were Darwin Coffey, Dean Dusenberry, Steve Horton, Ervin Kizzier, Robert Platt and Bill Simmons.

Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery.
