May 28, 1942August Deitchler Passes Away Wednesday Morning
Word has been received here of the death of August Deitchler of Council Bluffs, which occurred at his home early Wednesday morning. Mr. Deitchler, who had been in ill health for several months was 64 years old at the time of his death. He had lived his entire life in Pottawattamie county.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie, one daughter Cora and one son Harvey of this city, one brother Albert of Council Bluffs and two sisters Mrs. Mary Voss of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Laura Schoening of Glenwood as well as two grandchildren, Kenneth and Lee Deitchler, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Deitchler.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o’clock Friday afternoon from the Woodring funeral home with Reverend O.C. Bierman in charge of the service and burial will be in the Cedarlawn cemetery.
