The following Obituary is copied from the Council Bluffs, Iowa Nonpariel dated June 15, 2000:

Funeral for Virginia “Ginger” Ragland, 79, of Glenwood will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Peterson Mortuary with Chaplain Donna VandeKieft officiating.

Mrs. Ragland died June 13 at her home.

She was born June 9, 1921, in Rawles Township near Glenwood. She was a homemaker and was a physical therapy assistant at the Glenwood State Hospital-School for 27 years.

Mrs. Ragland was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Daniel, in 1985.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Watson, of Lincoln, Neb.; four sons, Walter George of Howells, Neb.; Floyd Williams and Robert Lee, both of Percival, and Hugh of Waubonsie; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Estes Cemetery near Glenwood.

Memorials may be offered to the Glenwood Fire Department.
