The following Obituary for Anna M. Hunter is copied from Glenwood, Iowa Opinion Tribune dated December 24, 2003:

Anna Mae Hunter, 77, Council Bluffs, died Dec. 14, 2003, at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. Graveside services were held Dec. 17, 2003, at the Martin Chapel Cemetery in Pacific Junction. Rev. Paul Jackson officiated the service.

Mrs. Hunter was the daughter of Roland G. and Minnie (Rager) Chapin, born May 3, 1926, in Glenwood. She was united in marriage to Harry Charles Hunter Sr. on April 19, 1942, in Rockport, Mo. To this union six children were born. Mrs. Hunter was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Council Bluffs and enjoyed being a homemaker.

Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Roger Hunter, Lester Hunter and Donald J. Hunter; brother Robert Chapin, and Grandparents Charlie and Frona Rager. She is survived by husband Harry C. Hunter Sr. of Council Bluffs; children Ben Hunter and wife Bev of Glenwood, Harry Hunter Jr. and Rosetta of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Nancy McIntosh and husband Roger of Council Bluffs; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers Clay Chapin of Albany, Ore., and Roland George Chapin of Omaha, Neb.; and a host of friends.

A memorial fund has been established. Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood was in charge of arrangements.
