Funeral services for Lue Eddie "Ed" Hunt, 93, of Red Oak were held November 23 at the Nelson-Boylan Funeral Chapel in Red Oak. The Rev. Roger Maize officiated, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak.
Mr. Hunt passed away November 20, 1990, at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak following a lengthy illness.
He was born May 11, 1897, in Silver City, the son of Charlie and Cora Moore Hunt. He married Edna Luzio on March 12, 1919, in Council Bluffs. The couple lived in the Glenwood and Silver City area before moving to Montgomery County 40 years ago.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Hunt.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Hunt of Red Oak; three sons, Virgil Hunt of Red Oak, Keith Hunt of Coffeyville, Kan.; and Delbert Hunt of Council Bluffs; three daughters, Phyllis Bradley of Red Oak, Kathleen Pfeiffer of Clarinda, and Donna Carlson of Red Oak; one brother, Basil Hunt of Red Oak; one sister, Marjorie Blackman of Malvern; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Hawthorne United Methodist Church.
