Goldie V. White, 95, of Glenwood died Thursday, May 1, 1997, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, 1997, at Raynor-Hardiman Funeral Home in Glenwood. Burial was in West Liberty Cemetery, north of Glenwood, with Rev. Ross Boyce officiating.

Mrs. (Boyce) White was born September 4, 1901, to Edmund George Boyce and Effie Alice (Sebern) Boyce near the town of Folsom in Mills County. The family later moved to a farm near Pony Creek.

She was married on May 22, 1919, to George Iven White in Glenwood. They spent most of the years farming and later they lived in Glenwood where she worked for several years in the Foster Grandparent Program at the Glenwood State Hospital School.

Mrs. White was a member of the First Christian Church in Glenwood and had resided for the last ten years in the Glen Haven Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Iven White; two sons, George Elvin and Clifford Dale; son-in-law Cash Janulewicz; four brothers, Ernest, Elmer, Robert, Sammie and Ferdinand Boyce; and four sisters, Sylvia, Ruby, Irene and Esther Boyce.

Survivors include one daughter, Irene Wunschel and her husband Gary of Malvern; two daughter-in-law; Gladys White of Lincoln, Neb., and Verna White of Harrah, Okla.; one brother, Charles Boyce of Omaha; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and many loving relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church of Glenwood or the Glen Haven Home of Glenwood.
