Services Monday for Mrs. Rasmus Peterson

Funeral services for Mrs. Rasmus Peterson were held in Glenwood Monday afternoon.

Harriet Isabelle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Graft, was born at Stanwood, Iowa, February 26, 1891. She moved with her family to Council Bluffs in 1907, where in 1909 she was married to Rasmus Peterson. They made their home in that city until eleven years ago, when they moved to the Folsom community near Pacific Junction. Mrs. Peterson had been in failing health and passed away in the Mercy hospital in Council Bluffs, Saturday, March 1.

She is survived by her husband and ten children: Mrs. William Mains of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Mrs. Leslie Palmer of Oakland, Iowa; Dorothy Peterson of Underwood, Iowa; Ruth Peterson of Glenwood, Iowa; Marvin, Leta, Peter, Walter, Anna, Catherine and Donald at home; and three grandchildren, as well as her parents and on sister, Mrs. Ralph Figgins, of Council Bluffs.

She united with the Methodist church in Council Bluffs about twenty-five years ago and was a devoted Christian mother who will be greatly miss within her family circle, as well as by a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Reverend J. S. Reel, pastor of the Glenwood Christian church. Music for the service consisted of duets by Misses Delores Reel and Betty Scott, with Miss Alice Scott at the piano. Mrs. Fay Haynie was in charge of the floral offerings. Pallbearers were Fay Haynie, George Jorgenson, Joe Fullenweider, Robert Poore, George Jensen, and Ralph Goodman.

The body was laid to rest in the Walnut Hill cemetery in Council Bluffs.
