Mother of Mrs. Stoelting Passed Away on February 2

Louisa Knickman was born near Princeton, Illinois on September 25 1859 and passed away at the Iowa Sanitarium at Nevada Iowa, February 2, 1941, at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 8 days.

When a young girl she came to Iowa with her parents. On the 10th of January, 1877, she was joined in marriage to Julius Korgan. To this union ten children were born. Her husband and five children preceded her in death. She with her family united with the Seventh Day Adventist church 15 years ago.

She is survived by two sons and three daughters: Fred Korgan of Tulsa, Oaklahoma, Albert Korgan of Council Bluffs, Mrs. J. J. Faust of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Lena Stoelting, Glenwood, and Mrs. C.A. Rasmussen, Modesto, California. Also two brothers and one sister, Conrad Kickman of Council Bluffs, John Kickman of Glenwood and Mrs Mary Paulus of Los Angeles, California, 18 grandchildren and 21 great grand children.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 6, in the Cutler’s Chapel in Council Bluffs with burial being made in a Council Bluffs cemetery.
