Harrington, George - A fatal shooting accident occurred Monday afternoon near the home of George Kemp, about 5 miles northwest of Tabor, the victim being George Harrington, the 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Cy Harrington of Tabor. The funeral was held Thursday and interment made in the Tabor Cemetery.

dated October 8, 1903:

George Harrington, son of J. C. Harrington, the well known Tabor landlord, was fatally injured by the accidental discharge of a shotgun in his own hands. He and a younger brother wre returning in a buggy from a hunting expedition when the unfortunate accident occurred. The charge entered his right shoulder, rendering necessary the amputation of the arm. He died Tuesday evening. The accident occurred at 6 o'clock Monday.
