dated April 28, 1949:The funeral services for Ronald Lloyd Harrington were held Sunday afternoon, April 24, at 2:30 o'clock in the Reeves Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Peter Jacobs of Shenandoah, Iowa. Mrs. Lisle Weatherhead sang two numbers, "Sometime We'll Understand" and "In the Garden", with Miss Blanche Dalton as pianist. Those in charge of the floweres were Mrs. Kathleen Sorenson, Mrs. Onalee Zapla, Mrs. Mildred Mendenhall, Mrs. Frieda Hickey, Miss Illa Jane Hickey, Mrs. Edna Mae Leeka, Mrs. Helen Greshem. The casket bearers were Paul Hickey, John Hickey, Jim Gleason, Eddie Sorenson. Interment was in Tabor cemetery.
Ronald Lloyd Harrington was born at Tabor July 3, 1935, 13 years ago. He spend most of his life in this town. For the past five years, he has had to go about in a wheel chair. He was known by many.
Five years ago, January 26, 1944, his mother, Mrs. Ruth Harrington, and Roy Starrett were married. During these years, Roy has been like a father to Ronnie, sharing with the moter in giving him the best of care. Ronnie also leaves four sisters, Virginia, Mrs. Clark McDowell of Alhambra, California, Annette, Mrs. Clyde Goff of San Diego, California, Wilma, Mrs. Vern DeZara of Alhambra, California and Shirley, Mrs. Lee Shepherd of Malvern, Iowa. Recently the three sisters who live in California came to visit Ronnie and it pleased him so much to be with them again.
