July 30, 1975Services were July 25 at Raynor, Lett and Kent Funeral Home in Glenwood for retired farmer Mark Emmanuel Harrington, 83, who died July 25 at a Council Bluffs hospital.
The Rev. Milton Akey officiated at the funeral.
Music was provided by Neil McPherron and organist Mrs. Dean Dusenberry.
Casket bearers were Wayne Fasnacht, Wayne Keith, Shirley Lincoln, Ralph Tackett, Morris Terry, and Jack Wohlers.
Burial was in Tabor Cemetery.
Mr. Harrington, who was born May 22, 1892 at Tabor, was the son of Aubrey Cyrus and Mary Ann Garrett Harrington.
He married Florence Vallier on Dec. 15, 1915 in Omaha. She died Sept. 10, 1958, and Mr. Harrington then married Ruth Skinner on Oct. 23, 1959.
As a child, he belonged to the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at Tabor.
Survivors include his widow; a son, Markie, Glenwood; a daughter, Mrs. John (Georgianna) Shannon, Missouri Valley; six stepchildren, Mrs. Helen Reafleng, Mrs. Dixie Deitchler, and Donald Skiner, all of Glenwood, Mrs. Theodosia Oleson, Des Moines, Mrs. Betty Dyke, Shenandoah, and Gerald Skinner, Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Lloyd Harrington, Warrenton, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Grace Amenson, Missouri Valley; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
