I, Sarah J. Trout, of the City of Glenwood, Iowa, being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made at any time.

1..After my death I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid first, and that monument shall then be erected at my grave, the same to be duplicate of that which is now at the grave of my deceased husband, Russell M. Trout.

2..I next direct my Executors to pay the sum of Fifteen Dollars, same to be deposited in the Mills County National Bank of Glenwood, Iowa as fund, the earnings of which shall be used in payment for care and maintainance of the half lot in Cemetery, upon which the deceased husband of testratrix, and where testratrix herself desires to be buried.

3..I have already made advancement to my three children, viz; Rachel E. Neilson, John L. Trout and A. Draper Trout, and for this reason I make no bequest to either of said children herein.

4.. I hereby give, devise and bequeath to my daughter, Elizabeth B. Treynor, the sum of One Thousand Dollars.

5..I give and bequeath to the Cemetery Association of Bedford, Pennsylvania, the sum of Twenty Five Dollars, for the care of one lot in the Bedford Cemetery, said lot being owned in the name of (Asa?)
Silver, and being the one on which the body of Gideon Trout, son of the Testratrix is buried. Said sum to be used, or invested and the proceeds used by said Cemetery Association in the permanent care of said lot.

6.. To my son George D. Trout, I have already, by deed, conveyed prior to this date, but not delivered until my decease, given and conveyed the following described real estate situated in Douglas County, Nebraska, the North 32 feet of lot ten in Block Fifteen College Place in the city of Omaha, Nebraska, and it is my wish that said property shall descend to my said son George D. Trout, and that said deed be delivered to him at my death. In addition to said real estate I give and bequeath to my said son George D. Trout, the sum of One Thousand Dollars, said bequest being made on condition that he surrender and cancel two certain notes of Testratrix in the principal sum of $230.00 payable at her death, and all interest thereon, to be cancelled.

7.. To my granddaughter, Catherine Trout, daughter of A. Draper Trout, I give and bequeath my piano, sideboard and bookcase.

8.. The children who are present at my funeral may divide my personal effects among themselves, of what they may want, beginning with the eldest, the remainder to be sold and proceeds become a part of my estate.

9..All the rest and residue of my estate, both real and personal, after the above bequests are paid, I give and bequeath to my grand daughter, Catherine Trout, daughter of A. Draper Trout.

I hereby nominate A. Draper Trout and H.M. Logan, both of Glenwood, Iowa, as executors of this my last Will and Testament, and authorize them to act as such without bond. I authorize them to sell real estate of which I may die seized, without authority of the Court, and to use the proceeds in settlement of the bequests as herein set out. Signed Sarah J. Trout

CODICIL

I, Sarah J. Trout, being of sound mind and memory do hereby make the following codicil to my Will

On account of the fact that my son, Draper Trout, is about to remove from his present place of residence, in Mills County, Iowa, I hereby revoke my former appointment of my said son as one of the Executors of my estate, as provided in my said will, and I now appoint H. M. Logan, of Glenwood, Iowa, as my sole executor and renew my former request that he be appointed as such officer by the Probate Court without bond. All the other conditions and bequests of my will I now hereby renew and re-affirm, except as to the Executor. Signed Sarah J. Trout.
