To all to whom these presents shall come greeting;

I Leroy Britt of the township of Silver Creek in the county of Mills and State of Iowa being of sound mind, memory and discretion do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament. That is to say after my death and respectable burial and the payment of all of my lawful debts including the expenses of my last sickness.

I give, bequeath, will and dispose of the rest and residue of all of my real and personal property of every kind and description owned by me and wherever situated or located as follows to wit:

First: should my beloved wife Rhoda Britt survive me I desire and will that she shall have and own all of my real estate and personal property during her life time only to have and use the proceeds as well as the income there from in her own right as she may from time to time determine, but in case that she should not survive me or after her death, I give, will and dispose of my said property both real and personal as follows:

To my beloved son, L.F. Britt, I give and will to him this sum of two hundred dollars, out of any property I may own this sum to be in full of his share in and to my estate.

To my beloved children Thomas M. Britt, Mrs. Eliza J. Crosby and Martha E. Hodges, I give, will and bequeath to them the rest and residue of my real and personal property of every kind and description and where cover the same may be situated or located, share and share alike should either one of my said children married in this clause of my will be not living at my death, then I desire and will that the share that would have gone to such child (if living) shall in that event go the heirs of such child share and I have alike.

Having here to for and during my life time made advances of different kinds in the way of money, property and other assistance to my beloved children, Mary M. Chambers, W.C. Britt, W.J. Britt and G.F. Britt, they and each of them shall be held both in law and equity to have received their respecting interests in my said estate and they nor neither of them shall take nor hold anything under this my last will.

Likewise, I do make constitute and appoint Thomas M. Britt executor of this my last will and testament without his giving bond hereby revoking, canceling and destroying all former wills by me made witness my hand this 11th day of August 1892.

We, G.W. Patrick and W.S. Lewis hereby certify that we were personally present and seen the testator sign his name to the foregoing will and he acknowledged the same to each of us to be his last will and testament and we each in his presence and in the presence of each other and at his request have signed our names there to as witnesses and have written opposite our names our respective places of residence.
