Will of W. R. Barnes, Deceased.

The Last Will and Testament of William R. Barnes. Considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to wit:

First: I hereby appoint J.E. Barnes, my son & J. M. Archer, my Son in Law my administrators: That after my death said administrators shall sell all of my personal estate, goods and of what kind and nature and pay all my debts and burial expenses and the balance equally divided between Amanda A. Barnes, my beloved wife and my six children, to wit: J. E. Barnes, Bell Archer, J. W. Barnes, Melica Barnes –this is a mistake — instead of Melica A. Barnes -- it is Melica A, Wearick – J. L. Barnes, Caloma A. Barnes. And, I hereby give and bequeath to my beloved Wife, Amanda A. Barnes, all of my real estate as long as she remains William R. Barnes’ Widow and I hereby appoint J. M. In Witness Whereof, I hereunto set my hand and seal the 13th day of December One Thousand Eighteen Hundred and Eighty two.

/s/ W. A. Barnes.

The above instrument consisting of one sheet was now here subscribed by William R. Barnes, the testator in the presence of us and was at the same time declared by him to be his last Will and testament and we, at his request signed our names hereunto attesting witnesses.
