This is the Last Will and Testament of me Cordelia A. Brower [o]f the county of Mills State of Iowa. Widow of Joseph Brower dec’d. late of said County.

I do give grant and bequeath all the real estate I now own or have or which I may die owning seized possessed or in any manner entitled to as follows:

1st To Eva, Daughter of Emma and Isaac McBroom of the Territory of Colorado, my Melodeon Bureau.

2nd To my sister Margaret Eliz. Brower, Wife of Ariah Brower of Salt Lake, Utah Territory, my Burst Pin and Ear Rings.

3rd To my deceased husbands Nephew, George W. Brower, Son of Wm. Brower dec’d, of Mills County, Iowa, One Hundred Dollars in money out of my personal estate – or if he chooses to take articles of personal property in lieu of Money, and my Executor can agree with him as to the value thereof, then he can have the property in lieu of money.

4th To Emma, (Wife of Isaac McBroom) all the residue and remainder of any acct all my real and personal property of whatsoever kind and wheresoever the same may be.

Signed by the said Cordelia A. Brower as and for her last will and testament in our presence this 8th day of May, 1869, who in her presence and at her request and in the presence of each other do hereunto subscribe our names as attesting witness thereto.

And now on this 7th day of October 1870, as an amendment to and to be considered a part of my foregoing Will, I state that I have already sent to my sister Margaret E. at Salt Lake City, my Burst Pin and Ear Rings mentioned in my foregoing Will. -- And I do appoint S. W. Williams of Mills County, Iowa, Executor of this my Will.

Signed by the said Cordelia A Brower, is and for her last Will and testament in our presence this 7th day of October, 1870 who in her presence and at her request and in the presence of each other, do hereunto subscribe our names as attesting witness thereto.

STATE OF IOWA, Mills County,---ss.

I, J. E. Robinson, Clerk of the District Court, hereby certify that an instrument purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Cordelia A. Brower of Mills County, Iowa, was presented, read and filed on the 24th day of July 1884; that notice was published for its probate in the Glenwood Opinion a weekly newspaper in Mills County, Iowa three consecutive weeks, the last publication being ten days before the time appointed for its probate; that on said time appointed, the execution of said will was duly approved by the subscribing witnesses thereto; and also that the said testator at the time of its execution was of full age, sound disposing mind and memory, and free to act. It was then and there adjudged and ordered by the court that the aforesaid instrument was duly executed and that the same be admitted to Probate as the last Will and Testament of Cordelia A. Brower.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have attached the seal of this Court and subscribed my name this 9th day of December 1884.
