I, Jonathan Kerns of Mills County, Iowa, being of full age, and sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills by me at any time heretofore made.
Item 1. I direct that my just debts and funeral expenses be
first paid out of my Estate.

Item 2. To my beloved wife Hanner Kerns, all of my Estate of which I die seized and possessed both real and personal, for her life time, and at her death the said property that I have herein given her a life interest in, shall go to my children, Eliza Kerns and Elexander Kerns, Floyd Kerns and Michel Kerns, share and share alike.

That said life Estate herein given to Hanner Kerns shall be in lieu of all her statutory rights in and to my estate. I hereby appoint Lafe Wolfe of Lyons Township, Mills County, Iowa, sole Executor of this my last will and testament, hereby exonerating him from giving bonds for the faithful discharge of his duties as such.
