I, Wallace M. Coats of Hillsdale, Mills County, Iowa, being of sound mind and memory do hereby make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament.

Item 1. It is my will and I hereby devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Elizabeth M. Coats and to my beloved daughter, Alma G. Coats, both of Hillsdale, Iowa, all the Real and personal property that I may own at my death share and share alike, after the payment (of) all just and legal debts.

Item 2. It is my will and in the event that either my beloved wife or daughter should die before my decease the share or portion of my Estate going to the one that should die to the one surviving.

Item 3. It is my will and I do hereby make constitute and appoint Wilber Mickelwait of Mills County, Iowa, my sole Executor to Execute this my last Will and Testament and I direct that he may act as such without bond. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name affixed my seal this 20th day of March 1899 in the presence of G. B. Barnes and A. E. Cook, attesting witnesses hereto. Signed Wallace M. Coats
