In the name of Almighty God, Amen. I David W. Blackmar of the Town of Glenwood, Mills County and State of Iowa, being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of the frail and transitory life do therefore make ordain publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament.

That is to say: First: After paying all of my just and lawful debts the residue of my Estate, both real and personal (I) give, bequeath, dispose of and devise as follows, to wit: To my beloved wife, Roxanna A. Blackmar all the land and appurtenances thereto belonging as well also all my personal property which I may own and possess at the time of my death, to be owned used and disposed of as she may think best, fit and proper.

Likewise I hereby make constitute and appoint my said wife to be Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.

In witness whereof I have herewith set my hand and seal the 16th day of March One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Three… Signed David W. Blackmar

The above instrument was subscribed by the said David W. Blackmar in our presence and acknowledged by him to each of us and he at the same time published and declared the above instrument so subscribed to be his last Will and Testament and we at the testator's request and in his presence have signed our names as witnesses hereto and written opposite our names our respective places of residence this 16th day of March A.D. 1863.
