I, F. H. Dashner of Mills County, Iowa, being of sound mind, do make this my Last Will and Testament.

I direct that my just debts and funeral expenses be first paid.

I give, devise and bequeath unto the wife I am to marry, whose name will then be Angie Dashner, one third of all the real estate and personal property, of which I shall die seized and possessed, provided I do not die before said marriage takes places, in which event this devise and bequest is to be void.

I give and bequeath to my grandchildren Frankie H. Sargent, Lee A. Sargent, Amy M. Groom and Ina C. Groom, each the sum of One Hundred Dollars, upon coming of lawful age.

I give and bequeath to my son-in-law John Groom his promissory note, now owned by me described as follows-- for Seventy Dollars- Dated Nov 21st 1892, due two years after date, payable at Pacific Junction, with eight per cent interest from date.

I give and bequeath to my son-in-law Frank Johnson, his promissory note, now owned by me for $56.60 dollars, dated Dec 29-1894 due one year after date- with 8 percent interest from date.

The rest and residue of my property, both real and personal, which I shall own at my death, not otherwise disposed of herein, I give, devise and bequeath to my children living at the time of my death, (The word children does not include grandchildren) The said property to be equally divided between them.

I revoke any former whill which I may have made, and I select my son Frank E. Dashner as executor of this will and request that he may act without bond.

Witness my hand this 12th day of January A.D. 1898.

F.H. Dashner

At the request of above testator, in his presence and in the presence of each other we sign our names as subscribing witness Jan 12, 1898.

******CODICIL**************

I, F. H. Dashner, maker of the above will, having married since it was made and my two daughters Lillie L. Sargent and Sabra V. Dashner having died, and some deeds and other written instruments having been this day signed by my daughter Clara F. Johnson, I now change my said will as follows--

As I have heretofore deeded an undivided fourth of the following real estate to my daughter Emretta L. Dashner and this day a like part of said premises to my son F. E. Dashner I now devise and bequeath to my said daughter Emretta L. Dashner and my son F.E. Dashner, each the undivided one fourth of the South Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section Ten, in township Seventy One (71) Range Forth three (43) in Mills Co, Ia. so that with said deeds, & this codicil they will own said 80 acres share and share alike.

On account of conveyances this day made by me and my son F.E. Dashner to my daughter Clara F. Johnson she is to have no further share in my estate, real or personal, and she has this day signed her relinguishment.

Where said will devises and bequeaths the rest and residue etc, between my children, it is now to be understood that my said daughter Clara F. Johnson is not included.

Since writing the above I have made other deeds, which eliminates said 80 acres from this will & I have given Frank Johnson his note.

I hereby confirm said will with the changes herein made.

Dated December 16, 1898

F.H. Dashner
