Will of James W. Bartlett. Deacased.
IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN.
I James W. Bartlett, of Glenwood in the County of Mills, State of Iowa, being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament.
First, I order and direct that my Executors hereinafter named, pay all my just debts and funeral expenses soon after my decease as conveniently may be.
Second, After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts, I give, devise and bequeath to my wife Caroline A. Bartlett during her natural life, the residence in Glenwood, Iowa, (our home) together with all the personal property therein; Also the West half of the North West quarter of section Twenty one (21), Township Twenty Six (26) Range Four (4) East in Wayne County, Nebraska, all of the balance of my property, both persoanl and real to be equally divided between my children, Mrs. Laura B. Plimpton and Charles E. Bartlett.
I farther direct that the property herein bequeathed to my wife, Caroline A. Bartlett shall at her death decend to my said children Mrs. Laura B. Plimpton and Charles E. Bartlett, and in the event of her death prior to my own, I direct that the said property shall decend in full title to my said childen.
In the event of the death of my son Charles E. Bartlett, without issue, before my wife, I direct that of the share herein given to him, one third thereof shall decent to my wife for her life use, and the remaining two thirds of shuch share to my daughter, Laura B. Plimpton,
Lastly I make, constitute and appoint mrs. Laura B. Plimpton and Charles E. Bartlett to be Executors of this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the 17th day of June in the year of our Lord, One thousand nine hundred twelve (1912)

Bartlett, to be his Last Will and Testament, in the presence of us who at his request have subscribed our names thereto as witnesses in his presence in the presence of each other.
