I, Alexander M. Bowen, a resident of Mills County, Iowa, near the town of Hastings, being of sound and disposing mind, do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament hereby revoking all wills by me at any time heretofore made.

Item 1. I direct that my just debts and funeral expenses be first paid out of my estate and that a suitable monument be erected over my grave.

Item 2. All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, real, personal and mixed, of which I may die seized or possessed, or to which I may be entitled, I will devise and bequeath as follows:
To Jane Benedict, Martha Smith, children of my deceased sister, Orpha Pickerell, Nancy J. Holloway, Jasper N. Bowen, John W. Bowen, William W. Bowen, James H. Bowen, Franklin L. Bowen, Lyda A. Holloway, Charles A. Bowen, Henry E. Bowen, children of my deceased brother Uriah S. Bowen, Maud Baggerly, grandchild of my said brother, Uriah S. Bowen, Walter G. Bowen, Ann M. Gress and Edith C. A. Bowen, children of my deceased brother, Zadok C. Bowen, share and share alike.

Item 3.I have not given in this will any property to my other relatives for the reason that they have been well provided for by me by my deeding to them part of my real estate the possession of which has been given to them while the relatives named in Item 2 hereof do not come into the possession of the real estate by me deeded to them during my lifetime.

Item 4. I hereby appoint Gregory H. Bunton, my nephew of Lawrence, Pocahontas, Iowa sole executor of this will and having confidence in his honesty and ability I request that he be not required to give bond as said executor. Witness my hand this 24th day of Nov. A. D. 1902.
