IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN: I Hermann Wassermann, of the town of Mineola, Iowa being of sound mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former testaments by me at any time heretofore made.

My will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my executor, hereinafter named be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall by him be found convenient.

Par. 1...To my daughter Mary, wife of Joseph Gerards, or her heirs at law, I give the sum of Five Hundred Dollars.

Par. 2....I give to all my other children, viz: Albert Wassermann, Hermann Wassermann, Henry Wassermann, Ernst Wassermann, and to my daughter Kate, wife of Otto Kruse, the sum of Five Dollars, each of them having heretofore received part of their share in my estate.

Par. 3....I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Catharine Wassermann in lieu of her distributive share in my estate and her right of homestead, all revenue and income and interest of any kind of which I shall die seized and possessed, to be enjoyed by her during her natural life. After the death of my said wife, all my real estate, chattels and monies of whatsoever kind, shall be equally divided between all my above named children or their respective heirs at law, share and share alike.

And lastly I do hereby nominate as executor of this my last will and testament, my son Henry Wassermann.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 11th day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Six.

We hereby certify that on this 11th day of October 1906, at Mineola, Mills County, Iowa, Hermann Wassermann, Sr., to us personally known, did in our presence sign the foregoing instrument and declare the same to be his last will and testament, and we at his request and in his presence, and in the presence of each other do hereunto subscribe our names as witnesses thereto.
