I, S. N. Shanks of Mills County, and state of Iowa, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, make, declare and publish this to be my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time made.

Subject to all my just debts and funeral expenses which shall be first paid out of my estate, I make the following disposition of my property.

First...I give, devise and bequeath to my wife Jamime Shanks all of the property which I die siezed, including real estate and personal property, to have and to hold the same during the term of her natural life. Said real estate being described as follows: being Lot No. 30 of Section 26, in West Oak Township, Mills County, Iowa. Being my homestead and where I now live. After the death of my said wife, in whom I have given a life estate in the aforesaid property, both real and personal, and after the death of my said wife, that the same be divided as by law provided.

Second...I hereby appoint Clyde T. Genung of Glenwood, Iowa, who is a personal friend of mine, executor of this my last will and testament, and further that he be not required to give bond.

Dated at Glenwood, Iowa, this 18th day of June A. D. 1908.
