Henry Allison, Deceased
This is the last Will and Testament of me, Henry Allison, Farmer of Ingraham Township, Mills County, Iowa. Hereby revoking any and all wills by me heretofore made.
I do give, devise and bequeath to my wife, Nancy Allison, all the real and personal estate of which I may die seized and possessed of all kinds whatsoever and wheresoever same may be situated. She to have the sole use and control of it while she lives with authority if she sees fit to sell convey and dispose of the same or any part thereof.
The property remaining however at her decease if there be sufficint remaining to go to the following persons.
To my eldest daughter, Sarah Corbitt, the sum of Two Hundred Dollars
To Polly Cochran my daughter, One Hundred and Sixty eight Dollars
To Martha J. Ka(nman?) my daughter Two Hundred Dollars
To Betsy Burnham my daughter Eight Dollars
To Elvira Stone my daughter Three Hundred DollarsAnd the remainder if there be any and whatever it may be to go to my son, James R. Allison.
And I hereby constitute and appoint my said wife Nancy and my son James R. , sole executors of this my Will and authorize James to act alone if from any cause his mother does not act.
And I devise and request that after the approval of this my Will by the proper Courts all other forms of law be dispensed with. My Executors not required to give bonds, but all business done by said Executors to be done by them as if they were my attorneys in fact fully authorized to do anything and everything to carry out the provisions of this will.
