WILL OF ADDISON UTTERBACK

I. Addison Utterback, of the County of Mills, in the State of Iowa, being of full age and sound mind, do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament, that is to say:

First..I direct that all my lawful debts, the expense of my last sickness and burial, and of the administration of my estate, be first paid, and subject thereto.

Second..I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Eliza Ann Utterback the following property, to-wit; My home place in Glenwood, Iowa, consisting of a part of Lots No. Eleven (11) and Twelve (12) in Block Number Twenty Nine (29). Also my Overland Automobile, also all household goods and furniture used or kept in the home place in Glenwood, Iowa, also the sun of Two Thousand ($2000) Dollars, in cash to be paid her immediately after my death, or as soon as there is available funds to make such payment, to be here absolutely.

Third..I direct that the residue of my property both real and personal, wherever situated be divided share and share like between my said wife Eliza Ann Utterback and my four children, Viz. Oliver F. Utterback, Sarah Emma Kesterson, Martha E. Garett and Alice Estella Sawyer, the said five persons which includes my said wife Eliza Ann Utterback, to share alike in the residue of my said property aforesaid.

I hereby appoint my wife Eliza Ann Utterback of this my last Will and Testament and direct that she not be required to give bond for the faithful performance of her trust.

In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name at Glenwood, Iowa, this Sixth day of June, A.D. 1917.

The foregoing written instrument, consisting of one sheet of paper, was on the 6th day of June, A. D. 1917, subscribed by the testator Addison Utterback as and for his last will and testament, in the presence of each of the undersigned, who, at his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other, have signed our names hereto as subscribing witnesses.
