Mills County Iowa Will

I, W. H. Rodman, of Mills county, Iowa, being of sound mind and memory, do make this my last
will and testament.

First - After my just debts and funeral expenses are paid, I give, devise and bequeath to my
wife Nancy Rodman the life use of all the real estate of which I shall die seized.

Second - I give and bequeath unto my said wife the income, rents and profits of all the
personal property of which I shall die possessed. To carry out this provision of my will I appoint
my executors, as trustees of said personal property, authorizing them to control and manage
the same, as shall seem best, and to sell any or all of it when they think best, and to loan the
same out at interest on approved security and the income to give to my said wife.

Subject to the above devise and request

Third - I devise and bequeath unto my daughter Emma P. Buckingham the southwest quarter
of the southeast quarter of Section twenty five, Township 71, Range 43, in Mills County.

Fourth - And to my daughter Laura McCrary, after my wife's death, the life use of the southeast
quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 25, Township 71, Range 43 in Mills County and at
my daughter's death I devise the same to her child or children.

Fifth - To my daughter Lillie A. Wilson I devise, subject to my wife's life estate, the north half of
the north half of the northwest quarter of Section 36, in Twp. 71, R. 43, in Mills County.

Sixth - Subject to my wife's life estate, I devise to my daughter Sarah Isabelle Buckingham the
south half of the north half of the northwest quarter of the last named section and also five
acres off the north side of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter of said Section 36 all
in Section 36, Township 71, Range 43, Mills County.

Seventh - Subject to my wife's life estate, I devise to my daughter Ella M. Kerns, the north
twenty five acres of the southeast quarter of the northwest quarter of said Section 36, and also
twenty acres in the southwest quarter of northwest quarter of said Section 36 and situated
south of the five acres devised in paragraph sixth, and north of the land devised to my son in
the next paragraph.

Eighth - As my son has already received one thousand dollars, as an advancement, the
receipt for which is in my possession, I devise to my son Isaac F. Rodman, subject to my wife's
life estate, the remaining fifteen acres off the south side of the southwest quarter of the
southwest quarter of said Section 36.

Ninth - Subject to my wife's life use as stated in paragraph first and second, I give, devise and
bequeath to my children herein named, all the other real estate and all the personal property
of which I shall die seized and possessed to be equally divided between them after my wife's
death.

To carry out this will I appoint my son Isaac F. Rodman and my stepson C. L. McKnight, my
executors and trustees and request that they may act without giving bond.

In addition to the duties imposed on them by this will and by law I request that they look after
their mother's welfare and the renting of the land if she wishes them to do so. I revoke any
former will that I may have made.
