The Mills County Tribune
17 July 1922

In the presence of near relatives and a few friends at 9:30 o'clock Sunday morning, July 16, Rev. Thompson spoke the words that united in marriage Miss Iva Viola Wethey and Emer Hatcher. The young people took their places unattended for the high contracting ceremony. Following congratulations a splendid wedding dinner was served by Mrs. Wethey.

The bride and groom left the same afternoon for a short honeymoon trip and on their return will make their home in Glenwood in a home which they have already prepared.

These young people have many friends whose best wishes go with them in their new home life. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Wethey and is a fine young lady, well liked and respected by all who know her. She has been connected with the telephone office the past year. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Hatcher and is a young man of sterling worth. He works with his father in the cement contracting business. He is a sergeant in Company I and recently won high honors in a competitive drill.

The Tribune extends congratulations.
