Researching my MERRIMAN, McCONNELL, BINFORD, WALRATH family history in Marshalltown, Marshall, IA. Would appreciate any information on these family members and connection with other researchers:

Simon Willis MERRIMAN - b. 10 May 1851 in Peoria, Peoria, IL - moved to Marshalltown with his family late 1870s. Was part owner and manager at Times Republican. d. 16 April 1899 in either Marshalltown or Spring Valley, Bureau, IL.

Sarah Adeline McCONNELL - b. 20 December 1851 in Springfield, Sangamon, IL. d. 14 January 1902 in Marshalltown.

Willis Lee MERRRIMAN (son) - b. 11 December 1875 in Victoria, Victoria, TX. m. c. 1900 to Marie McCLARENCE. Grew up in Marshalltown. d. 6 April 1958 in Chicago, Cook, IL. Newspaperman and accountant.

Anna Augusta MERRIMAN (daughter) - b. 2 October 1878 in Marshalltown, Marshall, IA. m. c. 1900 to Frank WALRATH. d. 24 December 1956 in Los Angeles, CA.

Elsye Adelina MERRIMAN (daughter) - b. 9 August 1880 in Marshalltown. m. 15 January 1902 in ?, IA to Joseph Raymond BINFORD. d. 12 January 1974 in Woodland Hills, CA.

Halsey Lee MERRIMAN - b. 12 june 1843 in Peoria, Peoria, IL. m. 13 March 1867 to Laura E. COWLES. d. 18 October 1914 in San Antonio, Bexar County, TX. Was owner and editor of Times Rupublican late 1870's-1890's. Also owned a job printing business before trading it in 1880 for ownership in Times and Republican newspapaers.
