I am also searching diligently for a Phillip McDaniel: He was born about 1823 in Pennsylvania and married a Jane (maiden name unknown--I need it). Jane was born about 1830 in Ohio. After Phillip died(I last find him in 1860 in Marshalltown,Iowa in 1860. He was a blacksmith. His widow Jane married a Mr. James Hannegan. I cannot find out so far what happened to Jane nor her 2nd husband James Hannegan.Phillip was in Illinois before coming to Iowa in 1854. Phillip and Jane's daughter, Hattie (Harriet L.) was born 6 April 1848 in Ohio and died Dec 14 1935 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Hattie md 2nd Charles Royal Storrs. Any information you have on the death of Phillip and where he is buried or info on his wife Jane would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much. Steve M. Hall
