Hi Barb,
I looked through the WPA records for Marshall County burials and these are the closest to your surname that I found.
PODHATSKY, Joseph - no dates- Elmwood Cemetery, Washington twp
POTHAST, August 6/12/1846-3/24/1901 Maple Grove Cemetery, Washington twp.
POTHAST, Wilhelmine 3/22/1846-8/15/1919

You never know, they could of spelled the name a whole many of ways. I hope this helps.
