Continue to look for infomation on James and Mary Pokasty (Pakosta) who lived homesteaded in Quarry, Marshall, Iowa in 1887. They had children: James, Mary (Varney), Anna (Johnson), William, Helen (Bainter), Emma (Hall and Honeywell), and Frank. James had a second wife named Barbara Brokop. They were married in 1895 and Barbara died in 1905. James also died in 1905 in Marshall County, Iowa.
