Ida Fitzsimmons

FITZSIMMONS

One of my Father's aunts was Ida Fitzsimmons. She was a teacher in Marshalltown at the time of the death and funeral of her brother in Lawler (Chickasaw County) in March 1910.

Ida had only one surviving member of her family left, a sister Georgena T., married to a railroad brakeman named George Usher, and living in Salt Lake City, Utah.

If Ida died in Marshalltown, she may have been buried there, and most likely in a Catholic cemetery.

Ida may be mentioned in the 1920 US Census for Iowa. At least the Genealogy.com site comes up with that name in that census!
